Finn Creek Open Air Museum is located six miles southest of New York Mills on the edge of beautiful Tamarack wetlands. The site includes an original Finnish farmstead from 1900, log barns, "Savu" smoke sauna, sawmill and an outhouse decorated with bottlecaps. The gift shop offers specialty Finnish coffees and candies as well as glassware, books, handiwork, and childrens' toys. Open since 1976, this 40 acre interpretive stie offers ample room for picnics, reunions, and meetings. Campers are welcome and RV hookups are available. The Museum is open daily 1-5, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
No admission charge, but donations are appreciated.
